Why invest in newborn photography?
You hear it all the time, but newborns grow and change quicker than you can imagine. You only have a newborn baby for a few short weeks, a newborn photoshoot allows you to preserve these precious moments that will never be replicated again.
These photos will stay with you and your baby forever, becoming treasured keepsakes that can be passed down through generations as part of your family's history. Imagine being able to show your Grandchildren what their Mummy or Daddy looked like when they were tiny. So special.

The Process.
Step 1
Getting booked
When you're ready to book, fill out a contact form and I will get back to you within 24 hours.
Once you have paid your non-refundable booking fee (£100) and we've finalised a date, you will receive your preparation and styling guide. I'll also set up a short video consultation so that we can discuss finer details for your shoot.
Step 2
Your session
On your chosen date, I will arrive at your home and set up my bean bag. I'll also pin up my voile curtains if required.
The session is entirely baby-led, and we'll take as many breaks as needed to ensure that you and your little ones are comfortable and happy.
Step 3
Delivering your photos
I aim to deliver your private online gallery via email within 2 weeks.
You will be able to view your entire gallery and choose which package you would like to go for at this point.
FAQ
When should I book my newborn photoshoot for?
I generally recommend taking newborn photos between one and three weeks. This allows enough time for you to settle in at home, but also means baby is likely to still be in that sleepy, squishy phase.
If you aren't quite ready for photos at this point, that's fine. I take bookings for newborns up to 12 weeks - they may just be more awake and alert after the three-week mark.
How long does a newborn photoshoot typically last?
Newborn sessions can be anything from 1.5 to 3 hours - it all depends on how baby is feeling on the day. I will always allow plenty of time for feeding, changes, etc. - babies are unpredictable, expect the unexpected!
I don't think my home has the 'right look' for an in-home shoot, is this a problem?
Not at all - and you're definitely not alone in feeling that way.
Most of the families I work with worry their home isn’t “photo ready,” but I promise it’s not about having a perfectly styled space. My focus is always on connection, light, and real moments - not whether you live in a show home.
I’ll guide you on the best spots to shoot in based on the natural light, and often all we need is a cosy corner, a bed, or a spot by a window. Your home is part of your story — and that’s what makes your session so meaningful.
What should we wear?
My general advice is to choose neutral/cream/light clothing and try to avoid anything too dark.
I always ask clients to avoid clothing with logos or busy patterns that may take away from the focus on your precious newborn.
However, I must stress that this is only advice. I want you to love the photos, so as long as you’re wearing something that you’re happy and comfortable in, that works for me!
When can I book my newborn session?
When your new baby arrives, you'll have enough on your plate and booking a photoshoot may be at the bottom of your priority list. For this reason, I always recommend booking your newborn shoot before baby arrives.
You can book with me at any point after your 12-week scan.
Is my booking flexible?
Obviously, babies work on their own agenda and will arrive in the world whenever they please. I recommend that we pencil you in for approx. 2 weeks after your due date and then you let me know when they have arrived and we can move things around if necessary.
